Momcozy Launches Year-Long 600 Hours of Support Initiative as New Survey Reveals the Extraordinary Time Mothers Spend Breastfeeding
National survey finds many mothers fall short of their breastfeeding goals despite dedicating hundreds of hours to breastfeeding, reinforcing the need for greater support LOS ANGELES , July 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Many mothers dedicate hundreds of hours to breastfeeding during the first year of their baby's life, representing one of motherhood's greatest investments of time, energy and emotional commitment. In recognition of that extraordinary dedication, Momcozy today announced its year-long 600 Hours of Support initiative, a comprehensive effort to provide expert guidance, educational resources, community support and thoughtfully designed products that support mothers through every latch, letdown and little win throughout their breastfeeding journey. The initiative is rooted in a simple belief: breastfeeding can require hundreds of hours of time, care, and dedication during a baby's first year, and no mother should have to navigate that journey without meaningful support. New research commissioned by Momcozy and conducted by Talker Research in recognition of National Breastfeeding Month was the inspiration behind the 600 Hours initiative. The survey of 2,000 U.S. mothers who are currently breastfeeding or have breastfed within the past five years found that mothers spend more than 23 hours each week or nearly 100 hours each month breastfeeding, highlighting the extraordinary time, energy and commitment the journey requires throughout a baby's first year. The survey also found that many mothers struggle to achieve the breastfeeding goals they set for themselves. Forty percent identified breastfeeding as one of the most challenging aspects of becoming a new mother, while more than half of mothers who stopped breastfeeding earlier than planned said they felt disappointed they were unable to continue as long as they had hoped. Nearly three-quarters described their breastfeeding journey as exhausting, with many citing low milk supply (51%), mental and emotional wellbeing (35%) and exhaustion (33%) among the biggest unexpected challenges they faced. "These findings reflect what we hear from families every day. While breastfeeding is often described as natural, that doesn't mean it comes naturally. It requires an incredible investment of time, energy and emotional resilience throughout a baby's first year, yet many mothers feel like they're falling short when they're actually experiencing challenges that are incredibly common," said Melissa Kotlen, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), RN, and Clinical Manager at Momcozy. "The time, care and dedication that breastfeeding often requires reinforce why timely, trusted support matters. Whether that support comes through practical tools that make breastfeeding more manageable, guidance from a lactation consultant, or simply knowing you're not alone, every mother deserves to feel informed, confident and supported throughout her feeding journey." The 600 Hours initiative begins with The Lactation Line , a free, 24/7 breastfeeding support service available August 1–14 during World Breastfeeding Week and National Breastfeeding Month, offering over 300 hours of complimentary phone, live chat, and e-mail access to International Board Certified Lactation Consultants. Throughout the remainder of the year, Momcozy will continue expanding the initiative through expert-led webinars, educational content, strategic partnerships, additional breastfeeding resources, and one-on-one lactation consultation sessions at Babylist Registry Weekend in August, giving expecting and new mothers direct access to expert guidance. That commitment also extends to product innovation. Through its CozyTech philosophy, Momcozy develops products rooted in mothers' real needs by combining thoughtful design, practical technology, expert input, rigorous testing and insights from mothers to help make everyday motherhood easier. New innovations like the W1 Warm-Massage Wearable Breast Pump and D8 DeepClean Baby Bottle Washer are designed to simplify everyday breastfeeding and feeding routines, helping mothers spend less time managing feeding logistics and more time with their babies. Families can learn more about the year-long 600 Hours of Support initiative, view the full survey, and access the Momcozy Breastfeeding Support Hub on the campaign landing page here . ("Bitmine" or the "Company") a Bitcoin and Ethereum Network company with a focus on the accumulation of crypto for long term investment, today announced Bitmine crypto + total cash & marketable securities + "moonshots" holdings totaling $11.8 billion. Bitmine Weekly Update As of July 26, 2026 at 7:00pm ET, the Company's crypto holdings are comprised of 5,787,414 ETH at $1,948 per ETH (per Coinbase NASDAQ: COIN), 208 Bitcoin (BTC), $180 million stake in Beast Industries, $61 million stake in Eightco Holdings (NASDAQ: ORBS) ("moonshots") and total cash & marketable securities of $268 million. Bitmine's ETH holdings are 4.8% of the ETH supply (of 120.7 million ETH). "Bitmine repurchased 6.1 million shares of common stock in the past week, an increase from the 5.5 million purchased the week prior. We increased our equity buyback as we view the rising ETH/BTC ratio, despite the falling odds of passage of the Clarity Act in 2026, as a sign crypto prices are strengthening. In fact, this ratio is now at a 3-month high at 0.3000, which we believe bodes well for future strengthening of ETH prices," stated Thomas "Tom" Lee, Chairman of Bitmine. "ETH prices are now reaching a 10-week high and as many technical strategists have highlighted, we believe the next key levels to clear are $2,000 and $2,500 for ETH. Our advisor, Tom DeMark of DeMark Analytics, sees these levels as near-term targets if the comparison of ETH to S&P 500 post-Oct 1987 continues to hold," continued Lee. "With over 11 million shares of common stock repurchased, Bitmine has executed the largest ever common stock buyback for any ETH or Bitcoin Digital Asset Treasury," stated Lee. Since July 1, 2026, Bitmine has repurchased 11.6 million shares of common stock under the previously authorized $4 billion share repurchase program. "Over the past week, we acquired 9,946 ETH. Bitmine has bought ETH every week since the inception of the ETH Treasury Strategy on June 30, 2025," stated Lee. On July 16, 2026, Bitmine released the latest Chairman's Message ( link here ) for July 2026. The title of the Message is "ETH is the cure for the Uncanny Valley of Wealth." Earlier in 2026, Bitmine launched MAVAN (the Made in American VAlidator Network), the institutional grade staking platform. While MAVAN was originally developed to support Bitmine's own Ethereum treasury, MAVAN intends to expand to serve institutional investors, custodians, and ecosystem partners seeking best-in-class staking infrastructure. A portion of Bitmine's ETH is already staked on the MAVAN platform. As of July 26, 2026, Bitmine total staked ETH stands at 4,917,189 ($9.6 billion at $1,948 per ETH). "Bitmine has staked more ETH than other entities in the world. At scale (when Bitmine's ETH is fully staked by MAVAN and its staking partners), the projected ETH staking reward is $299 million on an annualized basis (using 2.65% 7-day BMNR yield)," stated Lee. "Annualized staking revenues are now projected at $254 million. And this 4.9 million ETH is 85% of the 5.79 million ETH held by Bitmine. Bitmine's own staking operations generated a 7-day yield of 2.65% (annualized)," continued Lee. Bitmine's crypto holdings reign as the #1 Ethereum treasury and #2 global treasury, behind Strategy Inc. (NASDAQ: MSTR), which reportedly owns 843,775 BTC valued at approximately $59 billion. Bitmine remains the largest ETH treasury in the world. Bitmine is one of the most widely traded stocks in the US. According to data from Fundstrat, the stock has traded average daily dollar volume of $597 million (5-day average, as of July 24, 2026), ranking #171 in the US, behind Hewlett Packard Enterprise (rank #170) and ahead of HCA Healthcare (rank #172) among 5,704 US-listed stocks ( statista.com and Fundstrat research). Bitmine management believes the GENIUS Act and Securities and Exchange Commission's (the "SEC") Project Crypto are as transformational to financial services in 2025 as US action on August 15, 1971 ending Bretton Woods and the USD on the gold standard 54 years ago. This 1971 event was the catalyst for the modernization of Wall Street, creating the iconic Wall Street titans and financial and payment rails of today. These proved to be better investments than gold. These initiatives underscore Huawei's efforts to advance all intelligence across industries together with customers and partners. Arthur Wang, Vice President of Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, delivering a speech Huawei's upgraded Xinghe AI Campus Solution stands out with three core capabilities: superfast wireless, full-scope security, and network autonomy. Superfast wireless: Huawei's first-of-its-kind AirEngine Wi-Fi 7 Advanced AP incorporates the anticipated Wi-Fi 8 innovations for higher speed and reliability. Specifically, intelligent Coordinated Scheduling and Spatial Reuse (iCSSR), a multi-AP coordination technology, dramatically reduces co-channel interference while doubling single-user speed in continuous networking scenarios. Meanwhile, Advanced Same Frequency Network (ASFN) zero-roaming technology virtualizes multiple APs into a single "super AP," enabling seamless roaming across the entire network with zero packet loss. Full-scope security : Huawei's Xinghe AI Full-Scope Security Campus Solution creates a robust defense system featuring asset, connectivity, spatial, and privacy security. Asset security: The surging number of dumb terminals in governments, finance, and other sectors has heightened the risk of network attacks. To address this, Huawei's solution leverages AI clustering-based terminal identification to automatically recognize dumb terminals with 95% accuracy. Smart anomaly detection (SmartAD) can detect terminal traffic behavior anomalies in seconds and proactively block them. Connectivity security: Huawei's exclusive Wi-Fi Shield technology eliminates the risk of packet eavesdropping at the physical layer. Moreover, end-to-end MACsec combined with Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) provides long-term security for data transmission even as quantum computing matures. Spatial security: Huawei's Wi-Fi CSI sensing technology detects spatial security conditions through a single AP and identifies intrusions in seconds. Privacy security: To deal with hidden imaging devices, Huawei's iGuard AP enables comprehensive detection, precise detection, and 24/7 operation, safeguarding trade secrets and personal privacy. Network autonomy : Huawei's Xinghe AI Campus Solution offers powerful AI-driven automated O&M capabilities. By leveraging iFlow for all-flow experience analysis, the solution can enable poor-QoE demarcation in minutes, full-path visibility, and experience observability. With AI-powered global decision-making and minute-level fault locating, 80% of wireless faults are automatically resolved. Speaking at the Xinghe AI Secure Campus roundtable, Alex Sun, Vice President of the Campus Network Domain, Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, said, "As the AI era arrives, digital transformation across Southern Africa gains momentum, yet today's campus networks are facing challenges such as rising security demands and inefficient traditional O&M. In response, Huawei has upgraded its Xinghe AI Campus Solution to help local customers create future-ready, ultra-fast, secure, and intelligent connectivity experience, driving forward enterprise digitization and network upgrades." To drive the industry-wide adoption of Wi-Fi 7 CSI sensing technologies, Huawei organized the AirEngine Wi-Fi 7 CSI Sensing Challenge campaign, which is designed to gather insights from customers and partners while uncovering innovative service scenarios. At the roundtable, Lang Junming, Marketing Director of Huawei's Enterprise Network Marketing & Solution Sales Department, presented awards to the local winners from Southern Africa. Looking ahead, Huawei will continue working with customers and partners to further explore new Wi-Fi CSI sensing use cases. Looking ahead, Huawei will intensify efforts in AI-powered secure and intelligent campus networks, injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of secure AI campuses.

TAT elevates 125th Ubon Ratchathani Candle Procession as Signature Thailand Event
Landmark edition blends Buddhist heritage and candle craftsmanship with new night-time experiences and 'Nong Mamuang' landmarks BANGKOK , July 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in collaboration with Ubon Ratchathani Province and partners across the public and private sectors, is elevating the 125th-anniversary edition of the Ubon Ratchathani Candle Procession to a Signature Thailand Event. Held from 25–31 July at Thung Si Mueang, with the main programme taking place from 28–30 July, the festival preserves its time-honoured traditions while introducing new presentation and participatory elements to expand its international appeal. A monumental carved-wax sculpture moves through Ubon Ratchathani during the annual Candle Procession, whose enduring cultural significance has prompted TAT to designate it a Signature Thailand Event. Rooted in the Buddhist Lent tradition of candle offering, the procession has evolved into a major expression of faith, craftsmanship and local identity. Its longevity reflects the collective contribution of temple communities, candle masters, educational institutions, residents, government agencies and other stakeholders committed to preserving and passing on specialised skills. Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, said, "The Ubon Ratchathani Candle Procession has earned its standing through the faith, craftsmanship and collective effort behind it. TAT is giving this living heritage a stronger platform by pairing its cultural foundations with contemporary presentation and meaningful participation. This will broaden international awareness, encourage longer stays and channel greater tourism value to local communities, artisans and businesses." The Ubon Ratchathani Candle Procession is one of three homegrown traditions TAT is elevating as Signature Thailand Events, alongside the Nakhon Phanom Illuminated Boat Procession and the Christmas Star Parade in Sakon Nakhon . Together, they support TAT's strategy to bring distinctive regional celebrations to wider international audiences and strengthen Thailand's cultural soft power. As part of this approach, TAT is spotlighting the main venue at Thung Si Mueang from 25–31 July through lighting installations designed to create a more distinctive setting. On 29 and 30 July, TAT will stage four light-and-sound performances each evening, combining tradition with contemporary storytelling rooted in Ubon Ratchathani's heritage. Two large-scale three-dimensional sculptures of 'Nong Mamuang' , a popular Thai cartoon character, will form an illuminated landmark at Lan Thian Chaloem Phra Kiat, from 23 July–13 August. Reimagined in contemporary Thai dress, one reclines while the other strikes a classical Thai dance pose. The installations combine traditional motifs with modern pop culture, reflecting the province's identity as the "City of Beautiful Lotuses" . TAT's ART SPACE, open from 25–30 July, will offer hands-on activities based on local knowledge and craftsmanship, including candle carving, wax-flower making and gold-leaf decoration, encouraging visitors to engage with local crafts. The main events take place from 28–30 July, beginning with the Candle Gathering on 28 July. A total of 47 elaborate pieces — one showcase candle and 46 competition entries — will represent Ubon Ratchathani's three principal candle-making categories: traditional, moulded-wax and carved-wax. On 29 July, the royally bestowed Buddhist Lent candle and monastic bathing cloth will be taken in procession from 08.29, followed by a candle parade, dance troupes, and folk cultural performances. The official opening on 30 July will also begin at 08.29, followed by another candle parade, dance troupes and the Phanom Phra boat procession from Surat Thani. Across both days, more than 37 dance troupes involving temple communities and educational institutions throughout the province will take part. More than 5,000 complimentary seats will be available at five viewing points: Wat Si Ubon Rattanaram, Lan Khwan Mueang, U Hotel, Siam Commercial Bank and Bangchak service station. Evening highlights on 29 July include the "Amazing Light of Isan: Stunned" light-and-sound production and illuminated candle displays, beginning at 19.00 at Wat Si Ubon Rattanaram and Lan Khwan Mueang. On 30 July, candle competition awards will be presented at 17.30, followed at 19.00 by a light-and-sound programme featuring a candle procession at both venues. Award-winning candles will remain on display from 31 July–1 August at Thung Si Mueang and the City Pillar Shrine. The wider programme includes visits to nine temple communities from 13–27 July, where visitors can learn about wax decoration. From 27 July–1 August, the "Candle Road of Dharma" event at the cultural plaza near Ubon Ratchathani City Pillar Shrine will feature candle making alongside local and One Tambon One Product markets. Additional highlights include the "Stories of Ubon Ratchathani" light-and-sound performance at Lan Thian Chaloem Phra Kiat, on 31 July and 1 August at 18.00; the "Ganesha Barami UNSEEN" illuminated candle-flower field at Ubon Ratchathani Zoo from 25–31 July, from 16.30–20.00, with daytime viewing from 25–30 August, from 09.00–16.30; and "Ubon Candles on View Throughout the Month" at Wat Phra That Nong Bua from 3–17 August. The SDG Business Forum brought together leaders from across sectors to examine how business can help drive sustainable development in an increasingly complex global environment, with a particular focus on SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), alongside this year's HLPF review of SDGs 6, 7 and 11. Bybit's Yoyee Wang: Trust Will Define the Next Era of Institutional Digital Asset Adoption
Bybit executive shares vision for regulation, tokenisation and institutional trust at LEAP East 2026 DUBAI, UAE , July 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- As digital assets move beyond early adoption and into the portfolios of global financial institutions, the defining question is no longer whether blockchain technology works, but whether institutions can trust the infrastructure behind it. That was the central message delivered by Yoyee Wang, Global Head of TradFi and Real-World Assets (RWA) at Bybit , during a featured panel discussion at LEAP East 2026 , where policymakers, financial institutions and technology leaders explored how trust is becoming the foundation of next-generation financial systems. Speaking on the panel, "Trust Is the New Infrastructure: Security, Identity, Fraud & Regulation at Scale," Yoyee outlined why regulation, client-first product design and practical real-world applications are becoming the key drivers of institutional adoption. "Institutional adoption has never been about chasing the highest returns," said Yoyee. "For professional investors, trust begins with capital preservation, regulatory certainty and infrastructure they can rely on. When those foundations are in place, innovation becomes far easier to embrace." Drawing on Bybit's experience serving institutional clients globally, Yoyee observed that regulation has evolved from being viewed primarily as a compliance obligation into a strategic differentiator. She noted that regulatory clarity provides confidence for existing clients to deepen their participation in digital assets while also encouraging new institutions to begin exploring the asset class. As more major jurisdictions establish clear frameworks, institutions are increasingly willing to allocate portions of their portfolios to digital assets, expanding participation across the broader ecosystem. "Trust is built over time," Yoyee explained. "Institutions don't suddenly move significant capital into a new asset class. They start with measured allocations, validate the infrastructure, and gradually increase exposure as confidence grows. That's how every financial market matures." Bybit's Yoyee Wang: Trust Will Define the Next Era of Institutional Digital Asset Adoption The discussion also explored the rapid emergence of tokenised real-world assets (RWAs) and the convergence between traditional finance and blockchain-based markets. According to Yoyee, the industry's role is not to persuade institutions to adopt blockchain, but to ensure the right infrastructure is ready when they decide the time is right. "At Bybit, we see ourselves as infrastructure builders," Yoyee said. "Our responsibility is to understand what institutional clients are trying to achieve and provide solutions that address those needs while maintaining the standards of security, governance and operational resilience they expect." Rather than focusing solely on yield opportunities, Yoyee highlighted that many traditional financial institutions prioritise protecting principal while seeking operational efficiencies. This shift is shaping how digital asset platforms design products for institutional investors. She pointed to tokenised money market funds as one example where blockchain technology can enhance existing financial products by enabling clients holding on-chain assets such as stablecoins to access returns traditionally available in conventional financial markets, while maintaining flexibility over how they allocate capital. "Technology should expand choice, not replace it," Yoyee said. "Tokenisation gives institutions additional options to manage liquidity and capital more efficiently. Whether they adopt those solutions is ultimately their decision. Our role is to provide secure, trusted access when they're ready." Throughout the discussion, Yoyee emphasised that successful institutional adoption depends on understanding clients' underlying objectives rather than simply introducing new technology. As digital assets become increasingly integrated into mainstream finance, she argued that long-term success will belong to platforms capable of combining regulatory excellence, trusted infrastructure and deep collaboration with financial institutions. #NewFinancialPlatform //ENDS About Bybit Bybit is The New Financial Platform. WAIC 2026 unites industry leaders to advance dialogue and collaboration BEIJING , July 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- A news report from China Daily: The 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance, set to take place in Shanghai from July 17 to 20, will provide a global stage for fostering collaboration, governance and innovation in the field of AI. Under the theme "AI Partnership for a Brighter Future", the event aims to highlight AI's transformative potential as a collaborative force while addressing shared challenges and opportunities through international cooperation, cutting-edge research and public engagement. The conference is jointly organized by national entities such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and Technology, alongside the Shanghai government. With a focus on the transformation of AI from a technical tool to a collaborative partner, the event aims to boost global governance and shared growth of cities and industries. "China looks forward to taking the conference as an opportunity to further strengthen international cooperation on AI with all parties," said Zhou Haibing, deputy head of the National Development and Reform Commission, at a recent news conference. Zhou emphasized that AI governance is a global issue vital to the future of humanity, adding that China remains steadfast in its commitment to multilateralism, openness and inclusivity. By promoting international cooperation and offering Chinese solutions to global AI-related challenges, the country aims to balance growth and security, ensuring that AI development serves the greater good, the senior official noted. Unprecedented scale This year's WAIC is set to achieve new milestones in scale and influence, bringing together over 1,400 prominent guests, including leading industry figures, top executives and venture capitalists. Twelve national ministries and commissions, eight key national laboratories, more than 10 international organizations, over 10 prestigious research institutes and 20-plus world-class universities will all take part. This edition marks a record-breaking gathering of professional expertise and industry influence in the event's history. Complementing the extensive conference agenda is an exhibition that spans 100,000 square meters across three key locations in Shanghai. The Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center will act as a comprehensive display hub for AI applications, enabling companies to showcase a wide range of solutions across multiple industries. Meanwhile, the West Bund area will offer a futuristic technology exploration area, and the Zhangjiang area will emphasize smart infrastructure as a driving force for innovation. This exhibition will boast participation by more than 1,100 companies from across the globe, collectively presenting over 3,000 advanced exhibits. Among these, more than 300 new AI solutions are set to make their global debut. Furthermore, key categories — such as intelligent computing and embodied AI — will feature contributions from upwards of 200 companies each, showcasing the scope and depth of entrepreneurship in the field. This year, 180 one-person companies, or OPCs, and startups representing the most dynamic and fast-growing areas of AI innovation will showcase their outcomes. Selected from a pool of 1,200 applicants, these companies are largely focused on industry applications, embodied and terminal AI solutions, infrastructure, and cutting-edge technologies. The first two sectors have emerged as particularly competitive arenas. Creative format A groundbreaking component of this year's conference is the debut of WAIC Academic, a high-level international academic forum that represents a significant milestone for AI scholarship. As one of the most closely watched initiatives of the event, WAIC Academic will feature a world-class lineup spearheaded by Turing Award recipients and renowned academicians from China and beyond. To date, the forum has received 332 paper submissions, of which 284 have been accepted. The contributions come from more than 10 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Singapore, France and Spain. Participating institutions include renowned international universities such as Princeton, Cambridge, Imperial College London and Nanyang Technological University, along with top Chinese universities such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Fudan University. To invigorate innovation and cultivate young talent, the conference has revamped its awards system, which includes the SAIL (Super AI Leader) Award, the Young Outstanding Paper Award and the Yunfan Award. New initiatives include an OPC challenge and a youth-focused competition designed to encourage individual innovation, as well as a host of AI-themed events tailored for younger participants. These efforts are aimed at nurturing the next generation of leaders, bridging the gap between theory and practice, and empowering promising talents to shape the future of AI innovation. In addition to its industry-led events, WAIC 2026 will engage directly with the public through its innovative WAIC City Walk program. This initiative invites Shanghai's residents and visitors to explore AI applications in their daily lives via six curated thematic routes. These routes connect more than 30 unique AI-focused landmarks, including shopping malls, museums, experience centers and neighborhoods, spread across 16 districts in Shanghai. By transforming the entire city into an interactive exhibition space, the program allows people to experience the tangible benefits of AI and its role in facilitating Shanghai's ongoing digital transformation. From global AI governance discussions to localized industry applications, and from large-scale exhibitions to inclusive community activities, WAIC 2026 promises to present AI development in its most dynamic and multifaceted forms. MEDIPOST Inc. Treats First U.S. Participant in Phase III Trial of Umbilical Cord Stem Cell Therapy for Symptomatic Cartilage Defects Due to Knee Osteoarthritis
U.S. Phase III Trial Expands Clinical Investigation of Stem Cell Therapy for Knee Cartilage Defects CAMBRIDGE, Mass. , July 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- MEDIPOST Inc., a biotechnology company developing allogeneic, umbilical cord blood-derived stem cell therapies for inflammation-driven degenerative diseases, announced today the treatment of the first U.S. participant in its Phase III clinical trial evaluating its investigational mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) therapy to treat symptomatic cartilage defects in adults with knee osteoarthritis. The FDA has agreed that this single pivotal study, supported by confirmatory evidence from prior Phase 3 trials in South Korea and Japan together with Korean real-world evidence, can serve as the basis for MEDIPOST's planned U.S. BLA filing. The milestone marks a significant step forward in MEDIPOST's mission to bring a first-of-its-kind regenerative therapy to patients in the United States. This procedure was performed by Dr. Justin Newman at Orthopedic Centers of Colorado. "Treating the first U.S. adult participant in this Phase III trial is a defining moment for the field of regenerative medicine," stated Brian Cole, MD, MBA, Head of the Cartilage Research and Restoration Center at Rush University Medical Center. "This investigational MSC therapy is being studied for its role in knee osteoarthritis, where a gap exists between non-interventional palliative care and total knee replacement. This research gives us a meaningful opportunity to investigate whether a regenerative approach can help address it." Knee osteoarthritis affects more than 32 million adults. The Phase III trial is currently enrolling adults between the ages of 18-75 years of age with knee cartilage lesions and osteoarthritis. The study is designed to evaluate the clinical efficacy of the investigational MSC therapy and its potential benefits in adults with symptomatic cartilage defects due to knee osteoarthritis. Adults who believe they may qualify are encouraged to visit ClinicalTrials.gov or speak with their physician about participation. "Earlier clinical studies provided important data that helped guide the development of this Phase III trial," said Andreas Gomoll, Attending Orthopedic Surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York. "This Phase III trial is designed to demonstrate efficacy of a MSC therapy in adults with knee osteoarthritis; this is a significant step forward in generating the definitive evidence that could provide patients with better treatment options." "Treating the first participant in this trial is a milestone moment, not just for the science but for the osteoarthritis patients I see every day with pain and mobility challenges caused by cartilage defects," said Dr. Justin Newman of Orthopedic Centers of Colorado. "I look forward to learning more about the outcomes observed in those participating in this trial." ABOUT MEDIPOST Inc. Team for the Planet launches a global call for innovation, awarding €1 million each to leading climate inventors
LYON, France , June 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Researchers, engineers and entrepreneurs worldwide are invited to apply; winning innovations receive €1 million to reach industrial scale. Founded in Lyon in 2020, Team for the Planet holds one conviction: decarbonisation must be sound business—for investors and innovators alike. "We need major innovations to structurally decarbonise the economy. Most already exist, but they aren't scaling," notes Jean Jouzel, former IPCC vice-chair. The aim is to identify, anywhere on Earth, technology that massively cuts emissions and equip it to win its market. More than a cheque Beyond the capital, winners are paired with an experienced executive to co-lead the venture, gain access to a 133,000-strong shareholder network, and adopt an open-licence model that has already multiplied one project's profitability tenfold. Eligibility is universal—any nationality or legal structure—provided the innovation delivers a measurable greenhouse-gas impact reaching several million tonnes of CO2-equivalent annually. A selection process unlike any other Each application passes through 10,000 trained volunteer evaluators, an independent scientific committee of 14 experts (CNRS, CEA, INRAE, École Polytechnique), 13 private-equity professionals, and a final shareholder vote. Since 2020, over 1,700 proposals have yielded 14 companies across energy, industry, transport, agriculture and construction. Saving the planet pays Since 1 January 2026, shares once capped at €1 are revalued annually against the portfolio's real worth, with one global first: gains are recognised only when a holding's climate targets are met. The figures speak plainly: €41 million raised in five years—Europe's largest crowdfunding campaign—now drawing venture capital and institutional investors. " A tonne of CO 2 avoided has become an economic asset. The winner won't receive a prize — they'll be signing the first funding round of a future global decarbonisation leader." — Mehdi Coly, Founder Information Applications: https://1-million-planet.com/fr • Winner announced: December • Prize: €1,000,000 in equity + entrepreneurial support About Team for the Planet A nonprofit limited partnership founded in Lyon in 2020, backed by the French government and investors including the Mulliez family and Duval Group.
