Seven Girl Scouts of Hawaii members earn Gold Award for dedicated service

Girl Scouts of Hawaii recognized seven members who have earned the Gold Award through their dedicated service. The Gold Award is the highest recognition a Girl Scout can achieve, and represents a girl’s commitment to making a sustainable difference in her community, and to earn the Gold Award, a Girl Scout must design and execute a project that fulfills a need within her community, creates change and is sustainable. It demonstrates a girl’s dedication to creating positive change as she develops skills and values to meet present and future challenges in her life. Only 6% of eligible Girl Scouts nationwide earn the prestigious recognition.
