Sydney, Australie | AFP | vendredi 05/02/2026 - La mort d'une Française, de son conjoint australien et de leurs deux enfants autistes à leur domicile, a suscité cette semaine une vague de questions aux autorités australiennes sur le soutien apporté à cette famille en difficulté face au handicap. La police d'Australie occidentale a indiqué vendredi dernier avoir été appelée à un domicile du quartier de Mosman Park, dans la ville de Perth (sud-ouest), où quatre corps sans vie ont été retrouvés - un homme, une femme et deux adolescents - suspectant des meurtres prémédités suivis d'un ou deux suicides. Les trois animaux de compagnie de la famille ont également été tués. Les autorités ont refusé de nommer les défunts, mais les médias locaux ont rapporté qu'il s'agissait de Maiwenna Goasdoue, née en France, de Jarrod Clune et de leurs deux fils, Leon et Otis. Sur ses réseaux sociaux, la mère avait publié des photos donnant l'image d'une famille heureuse, à la plage, ou fêtant des anniversaires avec gâteaux et bougies. Mais les troubles autistiques des deux garçons adolescents posaient de grands défis à leurs parents et auraient pu les conduire à un acte désespéré, suggèrent les médias. "Nous savons que les deux enfants étaient confrontés à d'importants problèmes de santé", a déclaré à la presse l'enquêtrice Jessica Securo. "C'est une situation extrêmement éprouvante pour toutes les personnes concernées". Des médias, citant des amis de la famille, ont rapporté que celle-ci se sentait dépassée et abandonnée, questionnant le soutien présumé insuffisant du système d'assurance invalidité du pays. Le ministre en charge du Handicap, Mark Butler, a évoqué un "terrible tragédie" mardi, refusant de préciser de quelle aide la famille avait bénéficié pour ses enfants autistes. "Nous devons rejeter l'idée que le handicap est un fardeau", a déclaré la Commissaire australienne à la discrimination fondée sur le handicap, Rosemary Kayess. "Le meurtre n'est jamais une option", a-t-elle souligné. "Chaque enfant a droit à la vie, à la sécurité et au soutien, et les familles devraient obtenir de l'aide bien avant une crise".
