Dagana en deuil : un “faux lion” trouve la mort en plein spectacle après une chute tragique
Un drame bouleversant s’est produit dans la soirée du dimanche 22 mars à Dagana, plus précisément dans le quartier Diamaguène. Ce qui devait être un moment de divertissement et de fête s’est transformé en tragédie, coûtant la vie à un jeune artiste de 30 ans, originaire de Saint-Louis. Selon des informations rapportées par Seneweb, un spectacle de “faux lions”, une animation populaire très appréciée dans certaines localités, se déroulait normalement sous le regard enthousiaste d’un public venu nombreux. L’événement, organisé par un certain M. Lo et disposant d’une autorisation administrative en règle, battait son plein lorsque l’irréparable s’est produit. L’artiste, identifié sous les initiales C.A.T. Lô, était au cœur de la prestation. Déguisé en lion, il exécutait des figures acrobatiques impressionnantes, sautant au-dessus de son partenaire dans une démonstration mêlant danse, agilité et mise en scène. Mais au cours de l’une de ces figures jugées particulièrement risquées, le jeune homme a perdu l’équilibre. Sa chute, violente, s’est produite sous les yeux médusés des spectateurs. Selon plusieurs témoignages, il se serait brisé le cou à l’impact. Malgré la stupeur générale et les tentatives de secours, l’artiste ne s’est jamais relevé, plongeant l’assistance dans l’effroi et la consternation. Alertée aux environs de 21 heures, la brigade territoriale de Dagana s’est rapidement rendue sur les lieux, avant de se transporter au district sanitaire pour effectuer les constatations d’usage. Les éléments de la gendarmerie ont procédé aux premières vérifications afin de reconstituer le déroulement exact des faits. Saisi de l’affaire, le procureur de la République près le tribunal de Saint-Louis, Baye Thiam, a ordonné l’ouverture d’une enquête. Une réquisition a également été délivrée par le commandant de la brigade de Dagana en vue de la réalisation d’une autopsie, étape cruciale pour déterminer avec précision les causes du décès. GMS
