By Fetutasi Misi In the quiet blue of the endless sea, There lies a place still wild and free, A ring of coral, soft and bright, Where waves whisper day and night. Rose Atoll stands, untouched, alone, A fragile world the ocean has grown, With birds that soar and turtles that glide, And secrets beneath the tide. The government watches, careful and wise, Protecting its beauty from greedy eyes, They guard the land, the reefs, the shore, So it can stay forevermore. But some see money in its island, They dream of fishing boats a plenty, Turning peace into a crowded place, Erasing nature without a trace. I cannot stand and just agree, That profit should rule land and sea, For once it’s gone, we can’t restore, The life that lived on that quiet shore. Let Rose Atoll remain the same, Not just a place, but more than a name, A symbol of what we choose to save Not everything is ours to pave. Section: Local News Tags: ROSE ATOLL
