- 게임·e스포츠 산업 진출을 희망하는 청년들을 위한 기회 확대 및 인재양성 협력- 오창석 이사장 “청년과 산업이 함께 성장하는 협력 모델 만들어갈 것”재단법인 청년재단(이사장 오창석, 이하 ‘재단’)은 3월 16일 서울 종로구 청년재단에서 한국게임산업협회(협회장 조영기)와 ‘청년–게임·e스포츠 산업 상생협력 및 인재양성을 위한 업무협약(MOU)’을 체결했다.이번 협약은 게임·e스포츠 산업의 성장에 발맞춰 실무 역량을 갖춘 청년 인재를 양성하고, 청년들에게 다양한 진출 기회를 제공하기 위해 추진됐다.이번 협약은 이러한 정책 흐름 속에서 게임 산업 분야로의 청년 진출 확대를 위한 협력 기반을 마련했다는 점에서 의미가 있다.앞으로 양 기관은 ▲게임.e스포츠 분야 청년 참여 프로그램 등 공동 협력사업 추진 ▲게임.e스포츠 분야 청년 인재양성 및 산업진출 지원 ▲지속가능한 청년-게임.e스포츠 분야 협력체계 구축 등을 위해 협력하기로 했다.오창석 청년재단 이사장은 “게임·e스포츠 산업은 청년의 창의성과 디지털 역량이 발휘될 수 있는 대표적인 미래 산업 분야”라며 “이번 협약을 통해 산업 현장과 연계한 일경험 기회를 확대하고, 청년과 산업이 함께 성장할 수 있는 협업 모델을 만들어 가겠다”고 밝혔다.한편 재단은 AI 등 급변하는 산업 환경 속에서 청년들이 새로운 변화에 적응하고 안정적으로 자립할 수 있도록 게임, 영화, 금융 등 다양한 분야와 협력하며 청년을 위한 기회를 확대해 나가고 있다.
