Netflix animated film “KPop Demon Hunters” (2025) continues to earn accolades, this time winning Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song at the 98th Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars. “This is for Korea and for Koreans everywhere,” the film's director, Maggie Kang, said on Sunday after receiving the Best Animated Feature award.At the ceremony, the Oscars' first-ever K-pop performance also took place, with the artists behind the film’s fictional girl group HUNTR/X — EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami — performing the Oscar-winning Best Original Song “Golden” (2025).
