7 held in Feni over BNP factional clash

Police arrested seven individuals for questioning following a clash between two rival groups of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) supporters over illegal soil cutting in Feni’s Chhagalnaiya upazila early Sunday.The incident occurred around 3:00 AM in Contractor Mosque area of Pathannagar union, leaving one individual dead and two others seriously injured.The arrested were identified as Kamrul Hasan Zahid, 30, Ismail Hossain Munna, 20, Kamruzzaman Faruk, 28, Md Israfil, 26, Azmirul Islam, 27, Abdur Rahman Rocky, 25 and Fayez Mohammad Mahadi, 30, from different areas of Chhagalnaiya and neighbouring Mirsarai upazila.The deceased was identified as Hona Mia, 37, son of Abul
