Tanzania Invests Over TZS 429 Billion in Tanga Port Expansion

The Government of Tanzania has invested more than TZS 429 billion in the Port of Tanga expansion, raising annual capacity to 3 million metric tonnes from 0.75 million and enabling it to receive larger vessels. The Minister of Finance also cited progress on the Tanga–Arusha–Musoma SGR, Tanga Airport and regional roads.
