The Khiolovaena Cooperative, established in 2007, has transitioned from coffee farming to cocoa production following ongoing challenges with crop sustainability in Upper Silali, Nakanai district, West New Britain Province. While the cooperative initially focused solely on coffee, members found that their local environment did not mirror the Highlands, where coffee thrives.
