¿Habrá reposición para quienes recibieron un billete de la serie B invalidado? Esto dice el BCB
3 de marzo (Urgente.bo).- El Banco Central de Bolivia (BCB) informó este martes que si un ciudadano recibió, por ejemplo en una transacción, un billete de la serie B en sus cortes de Bs 10, 20 y 50 que corresponden al accidente aéreo del pasado viernes y son considerados ilegales, no podrán ser repuestos.“Lamentablemente, estos billetes, como lo repetimos varias veces, no tienen valor legal, no tienen validez, no se puede efectuar la reposición”, dijo David Espinoza, presidente del BCB, en conferencia de prensa.La pregunta surgió a raíz de reclamos de la gente que se preguntaba si, en caso de recibir uno de estos billetes en alguna transacción y que este sea del siniestro, alguna autoridad podría reponerlo por uno legal. El BCB fue claro al afirmar que la figura de reposición no está entre sus medidas y llamó a la gente a utilizar las herramientas para identificar los billetes ilegales y las numeraciones que fueron publicadas el fin de semana. 6a9bec5c-65be-4dae-998c-d8906d4e0817.jpg Por otro lado, afirmó que si una persona recibe estos billetes, que fueron sutraidos tras el accidente por algunas personas, puede perforarlo para evitar que estos circulen entre la población. “A través del control, se puede perforar el billete para que no circule en otros medios”, puntualizó.Una de las preguntas al titular del BCB fue por qué no se saca de circulación toda la serie B de los cortes Bs 10, 20 y 50. Espinoza mencionó que se consideró esa opción para evitar que los billetes del siniestro, que fueron sustraídos por algunas personas, estén en el mercado, empero esta opción fue descartada por “altos costos”.“La serie B contratada tiene un costo; ese costo lo debe asumir el BCB. Si invalidamos toda la serie que hemos contratado, tendríamos que asumir todo ese costo, y ese costo es muy grande. Este contrato está por encima de los 20 millones de dólares. Hemos considerado que anular la serie B acarrearía un costo muy grande para el país y habría que hacer la reposición, porque si sacamos toda la serie B hay que poner otra serie, y para eso la fabricación y licitación tardan más de un año y medio. Por esas dos grandes razones no es posible invalidar toda la serie B”, mencionó.Este martes, el Banco Central de Bolivia aclaró que el total de billetes o piezas que se transportaban en el accidente aéreo del pasado viernes era de 17,1 millones en los cortes Bs 10, Bs 20 y Bs 50 de la Serie B, equivalente a Bs 423,0 millones.
