Project HOPE continues to expand its earthquake response across northern Venezuela as humanitarian operations transition from rescue efforts to sustained health and humanitarian assistance activities. Our team is scaling up mobile medical services, strengthening support for primary health facilities, expanding water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) interventions, and increasing mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) to meet growing needs. As the response evolves, protecting communities from secondary public health emergencies — including infectious disease outbreaks — is an increasingly important priority.
