Pressure persists amid headline inflation drop

Malawi’s headline inflation continued on a downward spiral, falling to 20.8 percent in July 2026 from 21.1 percent in June, figures from the National Statistical Office (NSO) show. However, a sharp rise in monthly prices has sparked concern among commenters.
