Sudan and Saudi Arabia on Monday signed an agreement to establish the Supreme Council for Strategic Cooperation and Coordination between the two countries. The Sudan News Agency (SUNA) reported that the agreement was signed in the Saudi capital Riyadh. Sudanese Foreign Minister Mohieddin Salem signed on behalf of Sudan, while Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan signed for Saudi Arabia. According to SUNA, the council aims to provide a higher and more comprehensive institutional framework for managing and developing bilateral relations. The council will cover 10 main areas, including economic, investment, trade and political affairs.
