According to the department, more than 19,000 students who have returned from Pakistan are currently enrolled in schools across Nangarhar, and 676 returning teachers will be recruited to help educate them. Ehsanullah Ehsan, Director General of Personnel at the Nangarhar Department of Education, said: “The Islamic Emirate is recruiting 676 teachers to support the education of students who have recently returned from Pakistan. Teachers who meet the required qualifications and have previously taught in schools in Pakistan will also be recruited and provided with employment opportunities. Currently, 19,637 students who have returned from Pakistan are attending schools in Nangarhar.” Meanwhile, a number of returning Afghan migrants have called on the Islamic Emirate to create employment opportunities for individuals who acquired technical and vocational skills during their time abroad. They emphasized that if jobs are provided based on their education and professional qualifications, they will not only be able to support their families financially but also contribute to the country's development and progress. Janat Wali, one of the deportees from Pakistan, said: “We urge the Islamic Emirate to employ Afghans who have recently returned from Pakistan and possess technical and vocational training so that they can earn a lawful livelihood for their families and contribute to the country.” Another returnee, Israel, said: “We returned from Pakistan under very difficult circumstances. We are happy to be back in our homeland, but we do not have jobs or a source of income here. We ask the Islamic Emirate to create employment opportunities for returnees because our economic situation is weak and we need support.” As the forced deportation of Afghan migrants from Pakistan has intensified, hundreds of thousands of Afghans have returned to the country through the Torkham border crossing. Among the returnees are many teachers, university graduates, and skilled professionals. Experts believe that if these individuals are employed in positions that match their expertise and qualifications, it will not only help reduce unemployment but also enable the country to benefit from their knowledge and professional skills.
