MINIĆ: SECURITY SITUATION VERY GOOD

BANJA LUKA, MAY 25 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić said that the security situation in Republika Srpska is very good and that there are no criminal groups or other organizations posing a threat to society. Minić stressed that the Republika Srpska Police are performing their duties professionally, but noted that prosecution of criminal offenses falls under the responsibility of the prosecutor's office. "The prosecutor's office should inform the public about what and how they are working", Minić added. During the debate in the Republika Srpska National Assembly on the Ministry of Interior's 2025 work report, Minić noted that the Republika Srpska Ministry of Interior had submitted 160 reports on criminal offenses committed in the public company "Šume Republike Srpske", including 50 against directors and managers. "When it comes to the public utility company 'Elektroprivreda', reports were filed against 62 persons, including 45 responsible individuals, directors, and managers", Minić said. He reminded that the Republika Srpska Government continuously invests in police equipment and training and stressed that this policy will continue. "The issue remains traffic safety and I insist on intensified controls. Regardless of installed cameras, which drivers already know the locations of, we must improve this aspect of security.
