BANJA LUKA, MAY 24 /SRNA/ - Andrija Mandić, president of the New Serbian Democracy from Montenegro, said that no one can prevent cooperation among the Serbian people and their political representatives, as they belong to the same culture, Church, and nation. “We are a single living organism exposed to numerous, often ill-intentioned opposing influences in different parts of our national body,” Mandić said, addressing the Assembly of United Srpska in Banja Luka. Mandić emphasized that his job is not to look for enemies, but friends, and that he believes every nation increases the number of its friends while reducing the number of its enemies. “Therefore, I have begun promoting and strengthening support for ideas that are vital for the life, development, and progress of the Serbian people in Montenegro, especially our youth,” Mandić said. He said that even today, many people want to return the Serbian people in Montenegro to the status of second-class citizens, and some again wish for Milo Đukanović and the DPS to govern them. “We are democratically elected by our Serbian people and the citizens of Montenegro, and we defend their interests,” Mandić said. He added that for the first time since the end of the Second World War, Serbs are part of a democratic, pro-European government in Montenegro. /end/mis/sđp/sg
