USTDA signs agreement to support reliable power for Lobito Corridor

The US Trade and Development Agency has signed an agreement with electric utility company Anzana Electric Group to fund a feasibility study to expand hydropower generation and upgrade electricity distribution networks across the Lualaba province of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and the North-Western province of Zambia. Signed on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) high-level week, the agreement comes as the USTDA is strengthening power infrastructure along the Lobito Corridor, a strategic logistics route in Central and Southern Africa vital to diversifying America’s critical minerals supply chains.
